In a shocking and tragic incident, five women were killed and three others wounded following a deadly attack on South Sudanese refugees in the Kule 3 refugee camp in Gambella. The assault, attributed to armed gunmen believed to be from the Anyuak community, has sent shockwaves through the refugee population.
The violence erupted when one of the victims, who had gone into the bush to collect firewood, was discovered dead, prompting fears of escalating tensions in the area. This senseless act of violence has left the local community reeling, grappling with grief and fear as they seek safety in an already precarious situation.
Authorities are urging calm while investigations are underway to apprehend those responsible for this heinous attack.
